Lagrimas de Tristeza—Tears of Sadness
My story is very difficult to record.
I will try to share
but
at
times
I will shed
tears
of
sadness.
*
My children suffered
from
The bad person
Who
Was
Their
Father.
*
Psychological abuse.
Threats.
Foul language.
Physical abuse.
He beat them.
He beat me.
I lost my unborn daughter
because
of
his
blows.
He becomes more violent
each time he beats us.
*
He locked us up
with
no
food.
A neighbor helped
but
she
was
afraid.
*
My husband belongs to a gang.
*
I made two complaints
to
the
police
about my husband.
But
they never answered.
The
police
are
accomplices.
*
I received a phone call
threatening
death.
I fear for myself.
I fear for my children.
*
I did a very dangerous thing
leaving
Because
he
is
armed.

From Fear to Freedom
Some of these are so sad. Do you know if she is still in detention? It’s been 3 years. 😦

Unfortunately, there’s no way to know the status of any of the testimonies I post (detained, deported, released from detention in the custody of family in the USA). The statistics are that less than 1% receive asylum.
