Separated from My Husband

Christmas Memories
A collection of Christmas memories.

 I never expected

to live

a stage in my life

Christmas

Separated from my husband

And

My children.

*

I thank God we arrived

to the border

Safely.

But

I had no idea

on this day

December 17, 2015

it would be the last time

I saw

my husband.

Immigration separated us.

14 days and 14 nights

Without my husband.

Without knowing where he is.

Separated.

*

The children are with me.

My husband is alone.

I wonder,

“Has he lost hope?”

I keep my hope alive

with the children.

*

I ask God

Please

to be able to see my husband.

Soon.

I ask God please

May we be a family again.

Together.

Soon.
